Melinda Earhart - Vice Principal / Art / Computers

I have several aka's such as Ms. Melinda, Mom, Teacher, and Earhart. I started out at Saint Andrew's as a parishioner before the school was even built and we used to meet over at the movie theaters across the street. Then I became a Saint Andrew parent, my oldest son started at SACS as a PreK4 student back in 2008. I volunteered in his classroom twice a week which ignited the spark for my love of teaching. I also volunteered in the PTG and ended up being the vice president and president for a few years. I had completely fallen in love with my SACS family. It is the place I call home.....both figuratively and literally. I have five children! Jeannette is my oldest and lives in Germany and is working on her Masters in international travel. Natalie has joined the SACS family as the Kindergarten teacher.  Elijah, Christopher, and Elizabeth all attend SACS.

I am Salvadoran American, born and raised in California but I consider Utah my home now. Yes, I love pupusas! I love working here and getting to know all the wonderful kids that come to our school. I make it my mission to learn all of our students and parents names. Working here feels like being part of a family. My son also attends SACS and he loves it!

Natalie Trujillo - Kindergarten

I was born and raised in Orange County, California. I attended Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic School in Huntington Beach, CA before moving to Utah. I began attending St. Andrew's Parish back when Mass was held at the movies across the street! I moved back to California in 2013, that is when I began to work with children professionally. I was a behavior interventionist specializing in ABA Therapy. I fell in love. Children light up this world and I knew this is what God had planned for me. I moved back to Utah to work at St. Andrew Catholic School (SACS) as the Kindergarten Aide and EDP, in 2017. Being back in the Catholic School system brought back so many wonderful memories of my own. The small class sizes meant the tight knit, family oriented learning. Being able to teach the students about prayer and share my own relationship with God has been such a blessing. The 2018-2019 school year is when I started as the lead Kindergarten teacher. I look forward to all the wonderful experiences to come.

Teressa Lawrence - 3rd Grade

I moved to Utah in August 2016 after living in Colorado for 15 years. Prior to Colorado, I lived in Mannheim and Stuttgart Germany for 11 years. You could say I was kid traveler, or just a retired Army brat of 20 years. My family retired from the army in 2006.
About my professional self-  I went to Pikes Peak Community College for Elementary Education and then went to the University of Colorado Colorado Springs for my bachelors in Elementary Education and History. I graduated in 2014 with my BA degree and my teaching license for K-6 in Colorado. In 2016 I earned my special education endorsement in Colorado, and then transferred my K-6 license to Utah.
I taught fifth grade at a charter school in Colorado prior to coming to Saint Andrews, and before teaching in my own class I was a substitute teacher and a tutor. I love seeing the kids' faces light up when they learn something new and love guiding them towards whatever path God has planned for them. Math, reading, and religion are my favorite subjects to teach, though I teach all subjects with love and enthusiasm.

I look forward to an amazing and blessed school year with you, your child(ren), and my amazing fellow teachers!

Christopher Roy - 7th Grade & Middle School Math

I have lived in the Salt Lake Valley since I was fourteen, yet I still cheer for the Colorado sports teams (Rockies, Avalanche, and Broncos). After high school, I studied piano performance and jazz composition at the University of Utah, and used those skills to teach music at St. Francis Xavier in Kearns (2011--2017). I recently graduated from Western Governors University with a degree in secondary math education (5th--12th Grade), and 2018 is my first year at St. Andrew Catholic School. I believe that all students are capable of success in mathematics if we differentiate instruction to meet the many different learning styles.  In my free time, I enjoy playing and listening to music, and watching retro tv shows.

Tatyana Davis - Spanish

I have had the wonderful opportunity of being a part of Saint Andrew School since 2012 and with the Salt Lake Diocese since 2002. I strongly believe that the education process for all of us starts the day we are born and continues throughout our eternity. Learning is an essential process in the life of every person because it empowers all of us to grow, succeed and to help others by being able to communicate properly our ideas with them. I believe the role of teachers and parents to be an awesome responsibility in the process of educating all the children of this earth. I believe that effective teachers not only have to be confident in their subject area but also diverse in their methods of sharing this knowledge with their students. I believe it is very important to be patient and not compulsive in the process of exploring and learning a new language. Every child I have had the privilege of exploring the learning the Spanish language with has perceived and absorbed each new idea at a different level. I have always been attracted to the profession of being a teacher, especially teaching foreign languages. Along with my wonderful students we try to create a warm and inviting learning atmosphere incorporating music, group interactive games, and other technologies that contribute to help make the learning of Spanish productive , interesting and enjoyable. I truly enjoy seeing the fruit of our labors. I hold an Associate of Science in Elementary Education, a Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in Spanish, and a Masters of Arts in Spanish.
